On a spiritual and philosophical level, a Kindle is the great bringer of the flame of enlightenment, but more on that later. On the physical side what is a Kindle? A Kindle is commonly referred to as an e-reader, or a reading tablet.
To see the fonts the Kindle uses a thing called Pearl, or E Ink. E Ink works sort of like real ink, but displays the font on the screen electronically. Strange new technology for sure as E Ink spreads itself electronically. It adds 50% more contrast and sharpness than other e-readers. Unlike other tablets, there is no reflections or glare even at the beach under the noon sun. So when I first saw the thing, I asked the same question: what is a Kindle? I had no idea how it worked. Looking down upon the screen it was cool, but hard to believe. It was weird, it was like looking a real ink filled page. It is a mystery how this functions, but it works well.
